Results of the meetings of the Joint Monitoring Committee
15 projects were submitted for the sixth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee on 23.-24. June in Rust (Burgenland). 6 applications were successful, and of these 4 are conditional approvals. The total number of approved projects is now 47.
The fifth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee on 24-25 November 2009 in Szombathely was mainly dedicated to the strategy discussion about how to use the remaining programme funds. The members of the JMC agreed to continue with the principle of open submission without calls and to avoid any limits. Furthemore, they decided to keep funds available for new projects until at least 2011 and not to shift funds between priorities. Finally, two formerly postponed projects were approved , so that the total number of all approved projects has risen to 41. The total committment of funds adds up to ca. 60%.
In the forth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee on 2-3 June 2009 in Krumbach (Lower Austria) and on 2 July 2009 in the castle Hof more projects were approved. 11 out of 24 submitted applications were successful, of which 9 are conditional approvals.
The third meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee took place on 2 and 3 December 2008 on the utmost edge of the programme area. In the Styrian Bad Radkersburg at the borde to Slovenia the JMC approved 14 our of 20 submitted project applications.
The second meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) during the current programming period took place on the 8th and 9th of July 2008 in Hungary. The venue Vonyarcvashegy, whose pronounciation was a challenge to the German speaking participants, offered a splendid view of the Lake Balaton. Due to the packed agenda, however, opportunities for relaxation while enjoying the view came along only rarely during the two days of the meeting. Besides discussing basic questions and issues in connection with the programme and its procedures, the first group of project proposals was awaiting decision by the JMC. Two marathon meetings (9 and 12 hours), 27 rounds of discussion and reams of coffees later, consensus was reached for all submitted applications: Of a total of 27 project applications 14 were approved, including 10 approvals with conditions.
